By using onboard SAS connections to network storage, up to 16 workstations can share up to 256TB of storage. Installing the FastStream is easy – the SAS connection is brought out to a back-plate on the workstation where it is connected via a SAS cable to the FastStream SC 8200. Multiple workstations are then connected and have shared access to external storage without the need for a Fibre Channel switch.
