FastStream enables flexible options for storage access, connect directly to 4 workstations or servers with ATTO Celerity HBA’s or add an ATTO FibreConnect switch to provide shared storage connectivity to up to 23 workstations. FastStream is compatible with host based Windows, Linux and OS X Multipathing for improved reliability. Utilize Load Balancing to maximize performance across all available Fibre Channel links and Failover to provide a redundant path to storage in the event of an SFP, Cable or other path failure.

The FastStream SC 8500 allows you to connect directly to 4 workstations or servers with ATTO ExpressSAS HBA’s or create shared storage using SAS connections already on your workstation eliminating the need to occupy valuable PCIe slots.

By using onboard SAS connections to network storage, up to 16 workstations can share up to 256TB of storage. Installing the FastStream is easy – the SAS connection is brought out to a back-plate on the workstation where it is connected via a SAS cable to the FastStream SC 8500. Multiple workstations are then connected and have shared access to external storage without the need for a Fibre Channel switch.
